Our growing manufacturing company in Dayton, Ohio is seeking a professional and outgoing Account Specialist to join our customer engagement team. As an Account Specialist, you will play a key role in supporting the sales process, maintaining excellent customer communication, and managing quoting and order activities. This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive individual who thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Serve as a primary Account Specialist contact for customers through meetings, phone calls, and emails.

  • Collaborate with the Sales team to support quoting activities, ensuring timely and accurate responses to customer needs.

  • Handle Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and Requests for Quotes (RFQs) as part of the Account Specialist duties.

  • Monitor order progress and proactively communicate status updates and delivery timelines to customers.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer and order information in the ERP system.

  • Work cross-functionally with production, planning, and logistics teams to ensure smooth execution of orders.

  • Build strong, long-term relationships with clients, representing the company with professionalism and care as an Account Specialist.

Required Qualifications:
  • Experience in a similar Account Specialist, customer service, or sales support role within a manufacturing environment.

  • Demonstrated experience using ERP systems (such as SAP, Oracle, Epicor, NetSuite, etc.).

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to lead conversations with customers.

  • Professional and outgoing personality, with strong relationship-building abilities.

  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with strong follow-up skills—key traits for a successful Account Specialist.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Sales to support quoting and RFP/RFQ activities
  • Monitor order progress and communicate delivery timelines
  • Maintain ERP data and coordinate cross-functionally

Qualifications

  • Experience in account specialist, customer service, or sales support in manufacturing
  • ERP systems proficiency (SAP, Oracle, Epicor, NetSuite)
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
